Tour of the Somme

8th June 2016
Today we went to the Somme museum. Our guide Bridgette talked to us about the trench art and showed us some of the scenes of the battle. Some of our emotions were touching, interesting and thought provoking. After the museum we went to Lochnagar crater , which is created by 28 tones of dynamimate!
We then went to the memorial of the lost which is at Thiepval.
The last thing we saw was The New Foundland's trenches, which is on Canadian Soil.
To end the day we had a Crackling Cool Campfire with jokes, marshmallows and silly songs.
