About our school:
Frieth School is a Voluntary Aided School situated in a small village in the beautiful Hambleden Valley in South Bucks, approximately 6 miles from the Thameside towns of Marlow and Henley. It has been located in the conservation area in the centre of our village since its founding over 150 years ago, and although it has been altered and extended on various occasions, it retains a pivotal position between the church and the village hall. The church, the school and the village society form the heart of our community and there are strong mutual connections between these three organisations.
Our pupils are drawn from the Hambleden Valley and surrounding areas, and many live within walking distance of the school. The school is small, with a maximum number on role of 148, and has mixed age teaching throughout. We are a feeder school for Great Marlow and Gillotts in Henley, and enjoy strong links with the Marlow Liaison Group of schools. Our school leavers go on to the local grammar schools in High Wycombe and Marlow, as well as secondary schools in Marlow, Henley and surrounding areas.
The school has a strong governing board with a robust range of policies in place. It values all its staff and supports them with a good range of career development opportunities.
