Christmas Lunch and Panto Day

18th December 2019

Wednesday was the Christmas lunch and Panto day. In an effort to keep our sustainability pledge at the forefront of our minds, this year the school did not use bought Christmas crackers with plastic gifts. Instead, each child made and decorated a Christmas cracker and a wooden tree decoration, wrote a Christmas joke to go inside, and put them together into the hall for the Christmas lunch. In this way, we avoided single use plastic, but also every child made a gift for an unknown friend in the school—the ultimate Secret Santa!  We hope that our pupils will treasure their gifts and hang them on their trees this year.

Following the lunch, the children enjoyed the Pantomime of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ in the school hall the company ‘Panto in a Day!’ This is there 3rd visit to the school and was as enjoyable and festive as always!
