Annual PTA Christmas Fayre and Xmas Factor
24th November 2018
The annual PTA Christmas Fayre and Xmas Factor proved a delightful way to start preparing for the season ahead. As always, the hardworking troops in the PTA and staff rallied around to transform the school and create a magical Christmas Grotto with lots of excited children making trips to see the guest of honour, Father Christmas himself.
There were some gorgeous stalls selling wonderful hand crafted gifts, the ever popular bottle and sweet tombolas, a toy and book stall, and a host of games and activities for children to take part in. With all this going on, it was especially welcome to have such a great selection of refreshments being served in the village hall. One of the stall holders also sent a lovely email saying:
“We appreciated the space allowed for browsing around our tables, and found the school children that we met quite delightful – they have obviously absorbed the teaching of good manners and respect from their parents and school staff.”
The Frieth Xmas Factor was the highlight of the day, with so many talented performers taking to the stage. From solo singers and singing groups, to acting, dancing and gymnastic displays the talent was brethtaking! The performances were rounded off in style by our traditional Year 6 ensemble piece with a rousing dance routine for the finale!
Thank you to the tireless PTA committee, staff and the army of volunteers who worked hard into the evening on Friday and then all day on Saturday to make the fayre such a festive treat and a great fundraiser for our school.
