World Book Day

7th March 2018
The snow may have tried to stop the World Book Day fun, but we didn't let that happen here at Frieth. We celebrated World Book Day on Wednesday 7th March instead and had a fantastic time. The children dressed up as their favourite book characters and the staff did too! We had lots of fun trying to guess which character we all were and talk about our favourite books. Some children wrote character descriptions and gave presentations to the class.
We were also joined by Mr Henry Peplow from the Frieth Newsleteer, who gave an assembly on 'How to Write a Story in an Emergency!' The pupils had lots of fun coming up with story ideas, suggestions, problems and resolutions until they had a full story which could be retold by a year 6 child. You can read the story of 'The Acrobatic Goldfish' below. Thank you to Mr Peplow for such an inspiring way into story writing.
