Kestrels class

Welcome to Kestrels class!
The class is taught by Mrs Sparks and Mrs Robinson. Mrs Sparks teaches on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and Mrs Robinson on Thursday and Friday. The Teaching assistants are Miss Grundy and Mrs Spencer.
This term's whole school topic is 'Masterchef'. For further information about the curriculum for this term, please see the curriculum letter attached below.
Here is their class Charter that they devised:
  • Say please and thank you/Always be polite

  • Walk in the classroom and around school

  • Be kind and gentle to everyone

  • Think positive thoughts

  • Listen to others when they are supposed to be talking

  • Take a risk

  • Only talk if you have been told to

  • Follow the class routines

  • Put you hand up to talk when the whole class are quiet

  • Show that you are listening

  • Be on time

Thank you everyone for your 500 word story entries.  See them all in the link below.  I have really enjoyed reading them and will submit them to the competition website over half term.  I think that as your work has been published on a website ie the school website, that makes you a published author!  Have a lovely half term everyone.
And have some fun with the Hit the Button maths website.  See the link above.
18.1.17 This is our first attempt at performing a poem.
We have been looking at a painting by Vincent van Gogh. Can you work out which painting it was? Take a look at our own paintings which are on display in our classroom.
When it is raining outside we can still have a great lesson indoors with the parachute.
If you would like to make a powerpoint presentation in the style of Who wants to be a Millionaire (just like we use in class) then here is the resource.  You could make it on any topic eg science, maths problems or perhaps a quiz on grammar, spelling and punctuation.  Have fun!
Here we are taking part in the Mannequin challenge as part of Children In Need day
We have had a super first half term.  The children have all settled back into the school and into the swing of school life.  Well done to everyone for covering their homework books, getting homework in on time and practising spelling and timetables.  And thank you to parents and carers for your support too.
Have a lovely half term everyone and we will see you back at school on 31st October from Mrs Robinson and Mrs Sparks
PS if you are going to do something fun during half term why don't you write us a postcard and send it into school so we can see what you have been up to.  Thank you!
