The Frieth Hilly is a challenging 10k and 5k running race along winding paths through dappled woodland and wildflower meadows. It’s not called the ‘Hilly’ for nothing, but any breath left at the top will be taken away by the scenery. The race passes over private land in the Hambleden valley, giving Frieth Hilly runners access to secret corners of the Chilterns with incredible, exclusive views.
Known for the warmth of its welcome, the whole school and villagers of Frieth turn out to cheer on the runners and the local vicar blesses the race and runners at the start line. We have quirky commentators entertaining the crowds and welcoming back the runners, teas and homemade cakes, BBQ stall, massages, cheery marshals, children’s entertainment and goody bag for you to take home.
Best of all, by running the race, you know you are helping to support our wonderful village school and help develop the potential of our pupils for the future.
