Reception and Year 3
The Governing Body of the school is responsible for decisions relating to admissions, but works closely with the Local Authority who co-ordinate admissions to all schools in Buckinghamshire. A copy of our admissions policy is available below.
Reception entry in 2017/18 will be open to all children born between 1st September 2012 and 31st August 2013. The number of admissions for the academic year commencing 1st September 2017 is 20. Applications should be made via Buckinghamshire County Council. The closing date for applications is 3pm on January 16th 2017. Please contact the Local Authority regarding any late applications. Our admissions policy for September 2017 intake is posted below.
If you are not successful in being offered a place at Frieth C E C School, you have the right to appeal the decision. Appeals are run by an independent panel at the Oxford Diocese. An appeal form should be completed and returned to the school office. Appeals are usually held 30 school days from receipt of appeal form.
If your appeal is regarding the allocation of a place for your child to start school for the first time then the appeal process follows a timetable set out by the Diocese. A timetable for 2016 which gives detailed information regarding the timings of the appeals procedure for Oxfordshire Church of England Schools is posted below and is available from the Diocese. The timetable for 2017 will be posted when available.
